The Bestway Polysphere Filter Pump 5,678 L/h is an innovative and powerful pump designed specifically for above ground pools from 1,100 to 31,700 liters (300-8,400 gal.). This filter pump uses Polysphere filter bulbs, which are lighter than traditional sand and last longer, so you don't have to replace them as often. The bulbs are made of non-toxic, recyclable material and offer excellent filtration performance without much maintenance.

The pool water is pumped through the filtration sand, leaving the dirt behind in the sand and pumping the clean water back into the pool. In addition to clean & clear water, the filtration pump also circulates the pool water allowing the added maintenance products (chlorine, pH...) to do their job better. This makes your maintenance products last longer. This is also advantageous for your wallet. The filter pump is therefore the most important part of the pool!

What is the capacity of this sand filter pump?
Please note that this pump has a capacity (pump flow rate) of 5,678 L/h. Once you connect it to the pool & the pump starts cleaning the water, you will lose power & it has a system flow rate of 3,974 L/h. So the actual efficiency to filter the water is lower than the capacity of the sand filter pump. Keep this in mind when choosing an appropriate filter pump for the capacity of your pool. And be sure to compare the values of the pump flow rate & the system flow rate.

How should you maintain the sand filter pump?
The advantage of this filter pump is that it requires virtually no maintenance. The filter balls only need to be replaced after 4-6 months. So you don't spend a lot of time & money on it! You can simply clean the filter balls on hand wash in the washing machine.
